January Here's a taxi that stopped right in the center of the shot just as I was framing up Radio City Music Hall. The presence of the cab makes this one much better. |

| February Like the image above, what I got here was different than what I was expecting. I went to shoot the 6 train as it was moving, but what I saw after it stopped looked better to me. |

| March The Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline in the background is the ultimate shot of New York City. It was the first landmark I shot when I moved up here in 2006. |

| April This is one of my favorite shots of Central Park. The famous apartment building is called the El Dorado, and this was taken at sunset on the east side of the reservoir facing west. |

| May The arches of the Brooklyn Bridge are known around the world, so famous that they even inspired one of the first Absolut Vodka glossy magazine ads. |

| June More than any of my other photo-strations, I think the color scheme here fits the content of the image. The ominous clouds above, coupled with the strapping gladiator and imposing tower behind give a feeling of intimidation. |

| July My editing tweaks don't only affect color, but they also seem to highlight other aspects. The legs of the tourists walking past the Ed Sullivan Theater suggest movement, blurred perhaps by a slow shutter, but they were actually standing still. |

| August The Empire State Building just seems to dwarf everything around it. I shot this from the roof of the Rockefeller Center. |

| September Everyone shoots those wide shots of the Flatiron Building, but I wanted to do something different and zoom in tight. Plus, crews were doing some refurbishing and there was ugly scaffolding on both sides, so I didn't really have a choice! |

October Here again is the El Dorado as I was facing west. But this time, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom in Central Park, a great time for photographers, as well as allergy doctors! |

| November Not long after I moved up here, I went to shoot Radio City Music Hall (pictured in January, above), not knowing its proximity to Rockefeller Center, the home of NBC. |

| December Many friends have purchased the unedited, black-and-white version of this one, the Statue of Atlas with the world-famous St. Patrick's Cathedral in the background. I just wanted to see what this would look like with some color. |
